Orillia Condos for Rent
Are you ready for a town that is just about one of the oldest in all of southern Ontario? Orillia’s history (long before it was called Orillia) stretches back several thousand years. Evidence has been found of ancient bartering and settlements by the Huron, Iroquois, and even the Native American tribes almost 4000 years ago. Today, Orillia is a thriving town that is practically exploding with culture and positively dripping with the word ‘green’ (by that, it’s meant that Orillia is a very environmentally friendly city, even boasting an award-winning waste diversion system. Now that is going green!
The real estate market in Orillia is at an all-time high for smart investing, as well as first-time homebuyers who are looking to plant roots in a more permanent fashion. Bungalows, detached homes, semi-detached homes, family homes, and even townhomes are most of what comprises Orillia’s residential aspects, and that means opportunities abound for you. These homes are generally sizeable, and also provide excellent curb appeal, as well as the fact that many of these homes are in prime locations.
Orillia sits quite a large distance from the city of Toronto. As a matter of fact, Orillia is just far enough north that it could almost be considered part of Northern Ontario. However, if you feel like tripping down to Toronto for a day or so, you will be able to get there easily enough. Just be prepared for a mildly long drive. The Highway 11 runs right next to the town of Orillia, and if you take the Highway 11 south, it will merge with the Highway 400, which travels right through Barrie and onwards south to Toronto. It would make for a fantastic Sunday drive with the family!
Orillia as a municipality is home to a large number of parks and trails, which further lend to the ‘green’ aspect of the entire region. 33 parks and parkettes are offered to those living in Orillia, and all of them are unique and fairly quiet, so you will be able to enjoy nature without having to go right out into nature.
Orillia is home to roughly 20 schools of varying types. You have elementary/public schools like Orchard Park Public School, secondary/high schools like Twin Lakes Secondary School, and Catholic schools like St. Bernard’s Catholic School. You also have a couple of Christian schools, such as Orillia Christian School. If you have a child still in school, then you will not need to worry about their education taking them too far from home if you live in Orillia.
